Little Ladybird's Lead
My name is Aisha Geewan and I am the founder and principal at Little Ladybird's. I have worked with children aged 3 months to 8 years for over 25 years. I have progressed from a Nursery Practitioner to room leader and then onto being part of the Management team for over 10 years. My skills include being able to lead by example, organised, motivated and being able to provide a fun filed atmosphere for both adults and children.
I believe that the best resource a setting can have is their staff, and I invest my time to support the team, offering coaching, training support and ensuring they enjoy their job as much as I do.
My qualifications include health and safety, safeguarding level 2 and 3, safer recruitment, equality and diversity, food and hygiene, behaviour management, learning language and loving it, paediatric first aid, practical parenting, channel awareness, FGM, Makaton and learning disability awareness. I have delivered a huge variety of workshops to parents including introducing the EYFS, keeping children safe and introducing phonics. I am an NVQ assessor and have also completed a CACHE qualification in understanding diet and nutrition for children and adults.
We were awarded a bronze and silver health programme award in 2019/2020, and we received our gold award in 2021.
I have been part of a team that has implemented physical classes for children and nursery guides for parents.
I enjoy helping to make a difference to children and families.
